ACTIVE AND PASSIVE RACISM — Shameless that they haven’t arrested the officer who killed George Floyd; they arrested those who protested last night but not the officer.

The Mayor talked about communing, thoughts and prayers, the loss of property, and putting police in the community — to keep “order;” how they need more federal officers in the community.

If only the law was followed. if the officer was arrested, the community likely would not have protested.

But to expect equal justice before the law when it’s a black man who dies is a faint hope in this nation — another legacy of Trump, the normalizing of racism, and applying different standards of what’s legal for whites and blacks.
