Lessons learned — our “system“ is so protective of corrupt men in blue, present and former officers, who assault or kill black men that it takes a riotous demonstration and appeals from across the nation to correct that murderous bias.

Already some are isolating the offense to this one officer. That’s hardly likely given earlier cases in Minnesota.

Had we enforced the law the day the incident occurred, and arrested the killing officer, and his three accomplices, and charged 1st degree murder, we would have been building faith and trust with the black community that the “system” could approximate justice.

This is, still, an important step.

No surprise that Trump remains mute — saying nothing — as he prefers the racist reaction and stoked the violence the nation watched on their tv screen.
